Council Rules of Order

During meetings, citizens may address Council on any issue whether appearing on today’s agenda or not. Speakers will be permitted to speak for a maximum of 3 minutes with no dialogue from Council. Citizens are asked to write their name, address, and topic clearly on the sign-up sheet, move closer to the recording device to speak, and keep comments brief and to the point. Should you require more time, please make the request prior to the start of the meeting, and Council will decide whether to grant an extended time-period.

Speakers are reminded that Council used these comment periods as opportunities to gather information and not to respond directly to concerns raised. Information gathered may be addressed at Council’s discretion during the department reports.

Council Agenda meetings take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM.

Council Business meetings take place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Meetings occur at the Hose House located on 700 Grandview Ave., East Pittsburgh, PA 15112 (Please look for the Senior Center sign at the front of the building).
